Digital Terrain Model (DTM)
The digital terrain model (DTM) is a matrix representation of the bare earth surface.
Product features
The digital terrain model (DTM) is extracted from a LiDAR point cloud classified by artificial intelligence using a patent-pending method developed by XEOS Imaging.
All above-ground features (vegetation, buildings, bridges, viaducts, fences, vehicles, etc.) have been removed.
The DTM is delivered at 1 m and 50 cm resolution. The 1 m resolution version is generally used for all purposes. The 50 cm version is particularly appreciated for more specific uses requiring better definition (e.g. detection of embankments along watercourses for regulatory purposes).
