Trees
Tree mapping represents a plan view of each tree crown, in the form of distinct polygons. A point layer is also provided to represent the centroid of each treetop polygon.
Poduct features
The mapping of individual trees is extracted from a LiDAR point cloud classified by artificial intelligence using a patent-pending method developed by XEOS Imaging.
Tree height and crown area attributes are associated with each polygon and point.
It is possible that some very small trees were not mapped because too few LiDAR points were detected. It is also possible that some trees were not detected or were mapped in dense forests with several juxtaposed vegetation strata.
