LiDAR Point Cloud

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology uses an aerial topographic laser to obtain precise 3D positions of ground surfaces and objects (trees, houses, power lines, etc.).

Product features

The elevation accuracy of aerial LiDAR data is generally between 5 cm and 25 cm EMQ, depending on the project.

LiDAR points are classified by artificial intelligence using a patent-pending method developed by XEOS Imaging.

The level of classification varies according to use. The basic classification is ground and water.

The following additional elements can be classified on request:

  • Vegetation
  • Buildings
  • Bridges and viaducts
  • Poles
  • Electrical transmission towers
  • Electric wires
  • Railways

Each point is associated with the laser signal intensity and number of returns.
