Background
Founded in 2004, XEOS Imagerie Inc. originally specialized in digital aerial photography of strategic corridors such as pipelines, power line networks and roads.
As early as 2005, a partnership with a Puerto Rican firm enabled XEOS Imagerie Inc. to expand into the Caribbean, where it carried out numerous projects, including its first using LiDAR technology.
In 2014, XEOS Imagerie Inc. invested in Microsoft’s UltraCam Falcon Prime camera, then acquired a 493.5 Megapixel UrbanMapper-2P in 2021, the pinnacle of performance on the market.
Between 2015 and 2024, XEOS Imaging Inc. continues to advance with increasingly powerful LiDAR systems, including the 4.4 MHz Riegl VQ-1460 LiDAR, a first in North America.
In 2021, XEOS Imaging Inc. launches the 3D Cities program, becoming the first Canadian company to offer 3D models of entire cities at 5 cm resolution. This project is completed in 2024, marking an important milestone for the company.
Innovation in artificial intelligence enables XEOS Imaging Inc. to create data of unrivalled quality on the market. In 2018, XEOS Imaging Inc. initiates the development of artificial intelligence tools to process 3D LiDAR point clouds, subsequently filing patents in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. XEOS Imaging Inc. thus becomes the first company in the world to achieve precision automated AI mapping from LiDAR point clouds.

Tony St-Pierre, F.Eng., Surveyor
President and Associate
Active in the acquisition of aerial photographic and LiDAR data since 1992, Mr. St-Pierre is a leader in the field. His extensive expertise and professionalism instil a business philosophy based on data quality and customer satisfaction. Tony leads the team with his fierce perseverance and his questionable foosball skills.
Simon Flamand, M.Sc.
Project Manager and Associate
After working out of Canada for many years in project management related positions, Mr. Flamand comes back to Quebec and joins the XEOS Imaging’s team in 2017. Partner in the company since 2020, Simon combines his Bachelor’s degree in Geography, his Master’s degree in Geomatics and his international experience to skillfully be the Jack of all trades (master of a few only…) of the company.
Guillaume Bédard, Surveyor
Project Manager and Associate
Surveyor in Photogrammetry with a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Mr. Bédard joined the XEOS Imaging’s team in 2015 and is Partner in the company since 2020. Working in the aerial photography and LiDAR survey industry since his graduation in 2012, he is an expert in georeferenced airborne data processing. Guillaume has all the answers (almost) when it comes down to GPS precision or LiDAR data.
Esteban Osorio, M.Sc.
Project Manager and Associate
With a career in geomatics that began in 2009 as an operator in Mexico, Mr. Osorio has distinguished himself through his passion and versatility. With a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and a master’s degree in microelectronics from Sweden, he joined XEOS Imaging in 2022 as a member of the production team. He became Project Manager in March 2023 and Associate in 2024. An expert in aerial photography and LiDAR, Mr.Osorio contributes to the company’s success with his professionalism, his openness to the world… and his infectious laugh!
Van Tho Nguyen, Ph.D,
Chief Programmer and Partner
Holder of a Ph.D. in Plant and Forest Biology (2015-2018) and two master’s degrees in computer science, Mr. Nguyen combines expertise in science and artificial intelligence. He joined XEOS in 2020 and became a partner in 2024. As Chief Programmer, he leads the artificial intelligence development team and contributes to the creation of the company’s innovative products. His expertise also plays a key role in the continuous improvement of the internal tools used by XEOS Imagerie’s production team. Quiet and discreet, Mr. Nguyen is the indispensable silent pillar of the company.

Our Environmental Contribution
XEOS Imaging’s team is concerned by the preservation of the environment. To compensate the emission of greenhouse gas generated by the use of aviation fuel, XEOS Imaging is committed to finance the reforestation of trees in the Province of Quebec, Canada. This initiative, along with many daily actions such as recycling, reuse, reducing the use of paper and over packed products, etc., contributes to reduce our environmental footprint.
