Airborne LiDAR surveys

Airborne LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology is used to precisely locate the 3D position of the ground and its features (trees, houses, power lines, etc.). Each point in the resulting point cloud is classified to indicate whether it originates from the ground, the water, a tree or a building.

Using the RIEGL VQ-780 II scanner with a laser pulse repetition rate of up to 2 MHz, XEOS Imaging can meet all needs. We carry out a variety of projects that range from 1 km² to over 20,000 km².

  • Point density: 1 to 30 points/m² (or more, as needed)
  • High-precision data: up to 5 cm (RMSE) on hard, flat surface.
